Tip #7 – Eat Live Healthily
Eat properly, exercise, take vitamins suited to your lifestyle, drink lots of water and use natural products.
Tip #6 – Know Your Skin Type
You scalp is skin too, so it can be dry, normal, combination or sensitive. When you know your skin type you can better take care of your scalp.
Tip #5 – Treat Your Hair Like a Tree
Feed the roots of your hair but attend to the “branches and leaves” as well. Don’t leave out any section of your hair. That is when it will bear fruit.
Tip #4 – Understand the pH of Your Products
The pH of your hair products can be determine whether your hair is frizzy or smooth. Understanding your pH will help you with texture.
Tip #3 – Trim Your Ends Often
It is better to trim your hair as opposed to hair it break off little by little. If your hair ends are unhealthy and split, that can creep up the length of your hair if it is not nipped in the bud or rather trimmed at the end. Also, you can control your curl destiny by trimming. Trashy and unhealthy ends don’t usually curl very will. Trim your ends often.
Tip #2 – Understand that Porosity is Key
Do a porosity test on your hair (Click here to read about porosity). If you don’t know the porosity of your hair you are virtually bling in your natural hair journey.
Tip #1 – Understand Your Individual Hair’s Product Needs
Her hair may look like yours but it isn’t yours. Never expect a product to do for you what it did for another person. Be patient, and yes, get suggestions, but learn your individual hair needs and don’t be discouraged if a product doesn’t work very well for your hair.
