KiK: Have you ever coloured your hair?If yes, how did it affect your hair and what advice do you have for others who want to colour their natural hair?

Toni: Yes many, many times cause I love change lol. I have never experienced any damage but if you want to colour your hair just make sure you do your research. I do my own colouring but if you’re not too sure, make sure you go to a professional. I use box colours and the brands I recommend is Clairol Texture and Tones or the Dark & Lovely hair lightener for natural hair. There are also temporary hair solutions out there that can work great like Garnier Color Styler.

KiK: What advice do you have for others who are newly natural or struggling to stay natural?

Toni: My first advice to anyone is do not want someone else’s hair. Learn to appreciate and love your own. Your hair may not turn out like mine or someone else but your first priority should be the health of your hair and it will bloom on its own. Never be afraid to try (to master managing your hair) because it is those experiences that will teach you how to love your mane. Just have fun with your hair. Enjoy its beauty.

KiK: Thanks for doing this feature. Where can we keep up with you or your hair journey online?

Toni: You can like my personal blog on facebook: www.facebook.com/curlycoilykinky follow on instagram @curlycoilykinky. It was a pleasure answering these questions. Sending love my fellow queens.
