This blog post comes courtesy of Nicole Webster who did the beautiful natural hairstyle pictured below. This style can be done in under 5 minutes and looks very chic and refined. This style is perfect for everything from a wedding to a date and may even make it to work if you do the flat twist a bit tighter. It all depends on your personal style.
Follow the steps below or watch the video tutorial by Nicole Webster to learn how you can recreate this style.
Step 1 – Stretch or blow-dry your hair. If blow-drying, be sure to only blow-dry clean hair. Blow-drying dirty hair and also drying without a heat protectant can cause damage. I suggest the TRESemme Platinum Strength Strengthening Heat Protect Spray. You can purchase it HERE.
Step 2 – Create a side part with a comb, finger part or simply smooth your hair to the side with your fingers.
Step 3 – Starting at the part, flat twist the hair loosely starting from the part to the back of your ear and twist towards the end.
Step 4 – Secure the twist with a ponytail.
Step 5 – Roll the small side if hair is too short to meet the twist.
Step 6 – Roll the back of the hair upwards incorporating the twist to hide the length of the twist then secure it with bobby pins. View the video tutorial at the end of this post if you are unclear.
Step 7 – Pair it with a bright lip for that sexy 70’s pin-up look to make a bold and beautiful statement. Of course, this is optional.
