|Celebrity Hair Stylist, Felicia Leatherwood in Jamaica|
Felicia was recently at an event in Jamaica hosted by the Nettle & Moss store. She answered a ton of questions and this series which will run from now through the end of November will share the questions and answers from the event.
How often should I shampoo?
Felicia suggested washing your hair once a week. She also suggested that you cowash in between washes if you exercise daily. She did, however, stress the need to wash all the dirt and gunk out of your hair using shampoo or even an apple cider vinegar rinse if you are anti-shampoo but you need to cleanse regularly.
Felicia also gave a great natural hair tip. Apply your shampoo to your scalp instead of your hair strands. Unless you use a lot of product on your hair, it doesn’t need as much shampoo as you think and will save you a lot of money on shampoo. Let the shampoo sit on your scalp a bit longer. (This is especially great if you have dandruff). It gives it the shampoo more time to work.
Stay tuned for more #AskFelicia editions of Q&A Tuesday for the month of November.
