Royal blue is regal, perfect for summer, still doable in the winter and simply beautiful. I picked this cobalt blue polish for a great price under $3 at a Walmart in Nothern Virginia, USA. Keep reading for a full review of my experience using this Sinful Colors nail polish.
Topcoat Used – No
APPLICATION & CONSISTENCY
This thick nail polish is easy to apply. You won’t have any trouble with this polish flooding your cuticles. Despite being very opaque, this is not a one-coater. The first coat can be a bit streaky if too little polish is used and too lumpy if a thick coat is applied. It is best to apply two medium-thick coats.
Drying was no walk in the park. I typically favour fairly thick polishes by this one really took an unusually longer time to dry.
The polish dried as a semi-matte cream. It has a subtle gloss to it but if you want real shine, I’d go for a top-coat.
LONGEVITY & REMOVAL
This polish lasted me about 3-5 days and should do the same for you with a topcoat. I do gardening, cooking and cleaning myself so if you’re not handy like me, maybe it could even the entire week. Still, it did, on occasion, come off when rubbed against surfaces like white paper – but a thick topcoat should remedy this challenge.
Removal is easy. There is no staining of the cuticle when proper nail polish removal practices are observed.
This is the best true blue nail polish that I’ve seen in a while and is simply beautiful. It is perfect for the summer and makes a bold statement on the nails. It’s probably best to wear this with neutral coloured clothing if you are in a conservative work environment. So, this polish gets 4 out of 5 stars, falling down only in the thick consistency and long drying time.
