APPLICATION, CONSISTENCY & APPEARANCE
This nail polish has a lovely smooth consistency. It features the usual is medium thin Essie applicator brush. The moderately thick polish applies smooth and creamy and is opaque in 2 medium coats. The thickness makes it easy to control so the polish only goes where you apply it. In the Cabana covers pretty well on the first application and smoothens on the second.
The colour is much appears more teal indoors and more like a light blue in direct sunlight as you’ll see in the pics of this post. For example, the pic above is still outdoors in indirect sunlight but it still appears much more like a teal than the pic below, which looks like a bright, baby blue.
LONGEVITY & REMOVAL
The polish can last the average 7 days (as most Essie polishes do), but only with a topcoat and the use of gloves when handling water (like when washing dishes). The polish will chip is topcoat is not applied. Tip – always aplpy topcoat to the tip/edge of your nails to prolong wear.
In the Cabana removed without any issue at all. Like most rich colours, it took some extra cotton but there was no staining of the nail.
This colour is absolutely beautiful and perfect for the summer. It should wear for 7 days with care. The ease of application and overall quality gets this polish 5 out of 5 stars.
