I first fell in love with Shore Bet in the bottle on the shelf at Walmart in Notherrn Virginia, USA. It stood out in all it’s sand-coloured glory, winking at me with a reminder of the beach in Jamaica that I love so much. I had to get it. This was last year. Now, it seems that everyone is wearing a version of this colour for the Spring. Here is how I used it.
Coats – 2
Finish – Creamy
Topcoat Used– Yes
Source – Walmart
Brush & Consistency
The polish is both opaque and thin – a rare combination for inexpensive brands. The medium thin brush slides on this creamy polish fairly consistently in the first coat but this is not a one-coater. You will need to apply two coats for a sleek and smooth finish.
Nail Polish Performance
This polish appears a little bit more grey and some people even think it is while. It always looks like taupe or sand to me. The polish does darker when indoors (see picture below)– but so do most colours.
So, how long does it last? I can’t tell. I wore this polish for 10 whole days before getting bored and switching it out for a vampy red. LOL. After about 7 days, I noticed visible wearing of the tips, but it was barely noticeable. After gardening, I got one tiny chip on my thumb – even that wasn’t visible to anyone with whom I’d interact. The polish is definitely work far more than the mere 2 USD that I paid at Walmart.
I love it. Go get it. You’re missing out.
